The five signs that offend Tai Sui in 2027
值 sits with the Duke · 沖 opposes · 刑 conflicts · 害 harms · 破 scatters. All five should 安太歲.
What “犯太歲” really means
太歲 (Tai Sui, the Grand Duke Jupiter) is the deity who governs the year. When your zodiac clashes with the ruling year, tradition holds that your path meets more friction — instability at work, money that slips away, strained relationships, health scares, and “small-person” trouble. It is not doom — it is a year to move carefully and to 安太歲: pay respects to the year’s Tai Sui general so the year turns smooth.

Questions
What 犯太歲 means
太歲 Tài Suì is the Grand Duke of the year, the deity presiding over the year’s Earthly Branch. When your own zodiac branch clashes with, or is identical to, the year’s branch, you are said to 犯太歲 — to offend the Tai Sui.
2027 is 丁未, the year of the Goat. Those born in the year of the Goat (值太歲), the Ox (沖太歲 — direct clash), the Rat (害太歲), the Dog (破太歲) and the Ox again by punishment are the traditional groups affected. The tool checks your exact branch rather than asking you to guess.
What the rite involves
安太歲 means “settling the Tai Sui”. Traditionally a devotee’s name, birth date and address are entered in a petition register at a temple at the start of the lunar year, and the rite is performed collectively on their behalf. It is one of the most widely practised observances in Chinese folk religion, and in Singapore and Malaysia the registers open weeks before the new year.
Our digital petition follows the same structure: your details are entered in the register, the rite is performed, and you receive a personalised petition certificate along with your standing for the year and the months that call for caution.
Timing
The traditional window opens before 立春 and the rite is performed at the turn of the year. Registering early is conventional. Physical amulets are consecrated in batches on auspicious dates, which is why dispatch can take up to 30 days.
Common questions
I’m not a Goat. Do I still need this?
Possibly. Ox, Rat and Dog also clash with 未 in 2027. Run the check — it takes a moment and uses your actual branch.
What’s the difference between the digital and amulet options?
The digital petition covers the register entry, the rite, the certificate and the year’s caution dates. The amulet adds a physical 太歲符, consecrated for you by name and posted to you.
Is the amulet refundable?
No — it is personalised and consecrated for you specifically, so it cannot be returned or re-blessed. You can cancel for a full refund any time before consecration begins. Faulty, damaged or undelivered items are always replaced or refunded.
