Our Approach to Content Integrity

Most sites in this field are vague on purpose. Vagueness is easy to sell and impossible to check. This page is the opposite: it sets out exactly what we compute, what we interpret, what we do not claim, and what we will do when we are wrong.

Read it as a standard we are holding ourselves to, not a disclaimer we are hiding behind.

The line between calculation and interpretation

Everything on this site falls on one side of a line, and we tell you which side.

A calculation is arithmetic. Your Four Pillars, your 紫微斗數 board, a 奇門 chart cast on the hour, a 稱骨 weight, the 黃曆 entry for a date, the stroke counts in a 三才五格 name analysis. These are deterministic. Given the same input, the method returns the same output, today and in ten years. There is a right answer and a wrong answer, and ours can be checked against any competent practitioner or classical text.

An interpretation is judgement. What a Day Master of 庚金 born in autumn tends to mean for someone’s temperament. Whether a 中籤 is telling you to wait or to prepare. Which of the fifteen verdicts on a Guan Yin lot actually bears on the question you asked. This is where two honest practitioners can differ, and where experience earns its keep.

We keep them visually and structurally separate. When you see a chart, that is computed. When you see a paragraph explaining it, that is a reading.

What we do not claim

This is the part most sites leave out.

These are traditional interpretive frameworks with a long recorded history of practice. They are not scientifically validated predictive methods. No controlled study establishes that a BaZi chart predicts income, that a drawn lot forecasts an outcome, or that a talisman changes events. We believe these systems carry real accumulated insight into character, timing and human patterns. We do not claim they are physics.

Specifically, we do not claim to:

  • predict the future, or any specific event, date or outcome
  • diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical or psychological condition
  • provide financial, investment, legal, tax or immigration advice
  • guarantee a result from any ritual, offering, talisman or reading
  • know your lottery numbers, and we do not sell them

If any page on this site reads as though it claims one of those things, that page is wrong and we want to hear about it.

Where the numbers come from

Our engines implement published classical methods, not invented ones.

  • The year turns at 立春, not 1 January and not Chinese New Year. This is the single most common error in free BaZi calculators, and it silently shifts the entire chart for anyone born in late January or early February.
  • The day pillar is derived from the Julian day number, so it is exact for any date rather than approximated from a lookup table.
  • Month pillars follow the solar terms and the 五虎遁 rule; hour pillars follow 五鼠遁.
  • The lunar calendar table is verified across 1920–2039. Outside that range the tools tell you they cannot answer rather than guessing.
  • The Guan Yin lots are the classical hundred, with the Chinese 詩曰 reproduced from public-domain sources and the English written by us. The fifteen traditional 細項 are assigned per lot and checked so that an auspicious lot never carries a grim verdict, or the reverse.
  • 稱骨 weights follow 袁天罡’s table, with the classical verse for each weight.

Where a method has competing schools, we say which one we follow rather than presenting one as universal.

Artificial intelligence

We use AI as a writing and research assistant, in the same way a publisher uses an editor’s tools. We do not use it to generate readings.

Concretely: no reading you receive is produced by a language model. The charts are arithmetic. The written interpretations attached to paid products are written and reviewed by a human practitioner. The narration feature uses synthetic speech to read text that already exists — it does not compose it.

Machine-generated fortune text is cheap to produce, plausible to read, and worthless, because it is not derived from your data at all. It is the thing we are most careful not to become.

Corrections

We will get things wrong. When we do:

  • Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed, and the page shows an updated date.
  • If a correction changes the substance of a reading someone paid for, we contact that person directly rather than quietly editing the page.
  • Calculation errors are treated as the most serious category. If an engine is producing wrong output, we take the tool down until it is fixed rather than leaving it live with a caveat.

Found something wrong? Write to hello@godofwealth.co with the page and, if it is a calculation, the birth details or date that produced it. We would rather be corrected than trusted for the wrong reasons.

Advertising and money

We are funded three ways, and none of them is hidden.

Advertising. Some pages carry advertising. Advertisers have no influence on what we publish, no advance sight of it, and no ability to have anything removed. Ad slots never appear inside the reading tools.

Paid readings. Written interpretations, annual reports and naming reviews are paid products. Prices are shown before you enter any details.

Membership. An optional yearly membership funds narration, journal syncing and member pricing.

Every calculation on this site is free and will stay free. If a page ever asks you to pay for a calculation rather than for someone’s time, we have broken our own rule and you should hold us to it.

Your data

Birth details are the most personal thing you can give a site like this. Ours are used to produce your reading and for nothing else. They are never sold, never used for advertising targeting, and free tools store them in your own browser rather than on our servers. The Privacy Policy sets out the detail.

Who is responsible

Content on this site is published under the editorial responsibility of the God of Wealth team, with methodology reviewed by our resident practitioner. Questions about accuracy, sourcing or corrections go to hello@godofwealth.co and reach a person.
