Start Here — Which Chinese reading do you need?
Forty-two readings is too many to choose from cold. Answer two questions and we will point you at the one that fits your situation — free where a calculation can answer it, paid only where a person has to write it.
Which reading do you actually need?
There are forty-two readings on this site. That is too many to choose from cold, and the wrong one wastes your time. Two questions and we will point you at the right one — free where a calculation can answer it, paid only where a person has to write it.

Why there are forty-two of them
Chinese metaphysics is not one system. It is several, developed over two thousand years by different people for different problems, and they are not interchangeable. 八字 BaZi reads the shape of a life from a birth moment. 紫微斗數 reads the same life as a court of stars and often disagrees, usefully. 奇門遁甲 does not read a person at all — it reads a moment, for one decision. 觀音靈籤 answers a question you bring to a temple. 面相 and 手相 read a body. 稱骨 weighs a fate in an old folk unit.
A site that offers all of them and lets you pick blind is not being generous, it is passing the work to you. The router on this page asks two questions and narrows forty-two down to one.
Free, and paid, and the difference
Everything a calculation can answer is free and stays free. Your four pillars, your 紫微 board, the 黃曆 for any date, a Guan Yin lot, the fifteen traditional verdicts on that lot, the 奇門 board, the almanac, the altars and their chants — all of it runs in your browser, needs no account, and costs nothing.
Payment only appears where a person has to sit down and write something: a practitioner interpreting your lot against the question you actually asked, a full annual report annotated month by month, a naming review defended in writing. That is the line, and it does not move.
What you need before you start
Most readings want a birth date. The deeper ones want a birth time, because the hour sets an entire pillar and changes the reading more than anything else you can supply. If you do not know your birth hour, say so — several readings here work without it, and the quizzes need no birth data at all.
Nothing you enter leaves your browser unless you make an account. Readings you run are recorded in your fortune journal on this device, so the picture accumulates instead of starting over each visit.
Common questions
Do I need to know my exact birth time?
For BaZi and 紫微斗數, yes — the hour is one of the four pillars and omitting it removes a quarter of the chart. If you do not have it, start with the wealth archetype quiz or a Guan Yin lot, neither of which needs it.
Which reading should I do first?
Your BaZi chart. Almost everything else on the site either builds on it or reads better once you know your Day Master and your Five-Element balance.
Is any of this free?
Every calculation on the site is free and needs no account. Payment appears only for readings a practitioner writes by hand.
Is this fortune telling or entertainment?
These are traditional interpretive frameworks with a long recorded history of practice. They are not scientifically validated predictive methods, and nothing here substitutes for medical, legal or financial advice.
